We have a fantastic opportunity for a Department Sales Manager in our Home Decoration team based at our Southampton store on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for someone with demonstrable experience of leading teams.
This is a fast-paced role well suited for someone with plenty of experience leading teams.
WHAT WE OFFER
• Starting salary from £28,300 per annum to be discussed at interview.
• 39-hour contract working 5 days over 7, which includes working 1 in 2 weekends.
• We operate 7 days a week and so full availability to work during the day, late evenings, and full weekends is essential.

WHO YOU ARE
You will have experience managing and leading in a fast-paced and physically demanding sales or retail environment with demonstrated success in driving sales growth. You have an energetic leadership style, and you thrive on the buzz from inspiring, engaging and leading your team through the IKEA Values.
This is a fast-paced and physically demanding role where you and your team will be working to tight deadlines. As such, you will thrive in this sort of atmosphere, and champion flexibility, speed and simplicity in the way you work.
For this role, we believe it is essential that you have a Sales/Retail background, and experience leading teams.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
• Leading a team of roughly ten IKEA Co-Workers.
• Managing departmental goals, working to tight deadlines and ensuring an efficient routine is in place to meet our many customers.
• Ensuring your department is in excellent shape and fully and efficiently presented in an inspiring way, which may include moving and 'facing forward' stock, pricing and condensing our products.
• Developing sales in an efficient and effective way to attract more customers to our IKEA store and support the customer through the IKEA buying process.
• Developing and leading your team, ensuring succession is in place and taking responsibility for your department goals and objectives.
• Acting quickly on commercial opportunities and customer feedback, as well as keeping an active eye on competition, supply, and performance analysis.
