Additional information:
• This role is Permanent Part-time, 30hrs/fortnight
• As our Distibution Centre operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day, evening, and overnight shifts (24-hours). You also have the availability to work weekends (both Saturday and Sunday).
• As part of the recruitment process this role requires a pre-employment check for final candidates.
• A Security license is required to be successful for this role

About this work area

As Safety & Security Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Be the first point of contact, managing visitors, contractors, and co-worker access to and from the Distribution Centre, and providing administrative support with tasks such as audits, incident reporting, database management and filing.
• Monitoring and reviewing CCTV, conducting investigations, responding quickly and efficiently to alarms, and initiating emergency response procedures if required.
• Assist in ensuring the store is compliant with all IKEA and local rules, guidelines, and legislative requirements, in order to protect our assets and the IKEA brand.

As a Safety & Security Co-worker you are/or you have:
• Current valid security license & first aid certificate, or a willingness and ability to obtain these licenses.
• Passionate about promoting a safe working environment with a strong commitment to lead by example.
• Exceptional verbal communication skills, being able to remain calm and clear even during emergencies.
• Proven ability to multitask and handle ad hoc tasks while maintaining daily responsibilities.
• Experience in completing administrative and reporting tasks while adhering to deadlines.
