IKEA Croydon would like to welcome a Warehouse Team leader to join there busy logistics leadership team.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for people, an eagerness to learn and will embrace change with a solution-orientated approach to the many challenges and tasks that present themselves.
Previous Leadership experience of 2 years in a fast paced Retail/ Warehouse & Goods receiving environment is essential.
You are able to set expectations for others and provide clear direction, motivate and develop a team. In IKEA we place great emphasis on leading others and ourselves with a positive approach, even during the busiest and most challenging times. You have experience in leading, motivating and developing a team.
Expected Starting Date: to be discussed with Hiring Manager
WHAT WE OFFER
• Competitive salary starting from £26,500 based on competence & experience
• Additional night shift premium of £2.25 per hour paid when working 10pm - 6am
• 39-hour contract, working 5 days over 7 (every second weekend off) your working pattern will involve working from 1:00AM - 9:30 AM, with an expectation of working 04:45AM - 12:45PM to attend meetings and to work with the wider logistics team.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
• Planning, organising and monitoring the flow of goods within your area of responsibility in the store, i.e. from goods receiving to sales locations for replenishment so that sufficient stock is available to meet the needs of our customers.
• Working actively to improve productivity through efficient resource planning, including managing sickness leave, staff allocation, flexible working and efficient goods flow operations.
• Empowering your team of co-workers by delegating responsibility to help each person grow and develop, according to their individual ability and experience.
