Our team at IKEA Reading are looking for a new Store Loss Prevention and Security Leader to join their Business Risk and Compliance Team!  
 
WHAT WE OFFER
• This role is permanent and full-time, working 39 hours per week. Shifts will include evenings and alternative weekend working.  
• Starting salary of £29,000 per annum, and offers made will be dependent on candidate experience.  
 
ABOUT THE ROLE:  
To ensure a holistic and proactive safety and security risk handling for respective Markets with a specific focus on loss prevention and security. You will make sure Market Area priorities are well accepted and understood by the Market stakeholders to lead and develop a proactive and comprehensive agenda of a healthy working environment. You will support in mitigating risks and ensuring that all Unit Business Risk & Compliance teams can identify, assess and proactively handle those risks at a local level in their stores.
 
ABOUT YOU:  
• Knowledge of national laws and legislations connected to risk management, health, safety and security.  
• A proactive approach to understanding the relevant risk and compliance, health, safety and security steering documents and working methods within IKEA.  
• Knowledge of how to assess and mitigate risks in a business or retail environment.  
• Knowledge of how to implement work structures to meet the standards set by local laws and regulations, as well as internal IKEA policies.  
• Good knowledge of crisis management and implementation.  
• Good knowledge of carrying out and evaluating risk management and risk assessment processes.
 
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:  
• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent and/or proven knowledge in the field of international Occupational Health & Safety, fire safety or security. 
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of Occupational Health & Safety, fire safety or security. 
• Ability to make well-balanced decisions taking different business, people and ethical perspectives into consideration. 
• You possess a strong sense of integrity and high ethical standards. 
 
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  
• Promote risk management in IKEA stores, informing and sharing expertise to develop risk aware decision taking in relation to Area and Market goals.
• Secure the implementation and the follow through of the IKEA rules and local legislation, through coaching and guiding the local stakeholders. 
• Ensure Business Risk and Compliance standards are met, and to provide a safe working environment for all co-workers and visitors.  
• Identify local training needs and work with the Area BR&C Leader to implement the solutions.  
• Deliver subject matter expertise and guidance in loss prevention and security to provide support and secure operational excellence throughout the Unit.  
• Point of contact for the store in matters connected to Loss Prevention & Security when it comes to local authorities and follow up.  
• Implement the Business Risk and Compliance agenda locally, including the KPI analysis of security and loss within the unit with the correct stakeholders.  
• Ensure that guidance principles, risk assessments and paperwork are aligned, completed and followed up to provide a knowledgeable workforce who understand their risks.  
• Lead and manage the Business Risk and Compliance Co-Workers and/or external guards within the function to maintain the daily, weekly and monthly routines for all BR&C areas, working with the Business Risk and Compliance Leader to secure these routines.
