Who you are

As an individual you are confident in approaching and talking to people in a proactive manner. You take interest in people’s everyday life at home and home furnishing. Enthusiastic and able to work with others in a team and open to change/highly flexibility. You have the ability to prioritize and organize your own work to make efficient use of the time available. You are business-minded and result-driven with a customer focus along with experience of working in a customer- and commercial-oriented business.

For this role we believe you are also the following:
• Confident in approaching and talking to people in a polite and friendly manner.
• Enthusiastic and able to work with others in a team. Ability to organize your own work and make efficient use of your time. Ability to work with a high sense of urgency.
• Hungry for knowledge and a desire to increase your skills in order to benefit the IKEA business and grow personally.
• Experienced in basic range presentation know-how. Sales steering. Sales location management/sales space capacity. Computer literacy.

Your responsibilities

You should optimize the IKEA shopping experience in your shop to secure satisfied customers and increase sales. You have the ability to maximize sales in your area of responsibility using knowledge of your particular product range, your top sellers, 3 Aces and 1 King and the local market and customers. You should use IKEA tools and the experience and expertise of your colleagues. You support the efficient working of the IKEA mechanical sales system to ensure the continued success of the IKEA Concept.
You should contribute to fulfilling the four tasks of the IKEA store i.e., act as a highly efficient, and staffed sales mechanism, show home furnishing solutions full of inspiring home furnishing ideas, serve as a well-qualified home furnishing specialist and provide a day out for the whole family.
• You demonstrate the ability to analyze and adjust sales space capacities based on system parameters (sales location management) to secure high stock availability.
• You actively approach customers who you see require additional help.
• You identify their needs by asking the right questions and advise them on the best solutions for their homes in order to exceed their expectations.
• You understand how to use the different IKEA sales and communication channels and know-how for the different customers you meet.
• You keep your area of responsibility clean, tidy, priced and fully stocked, and ensure that the IKEA basic merchandising standards are always in place to give customers a positive shopping experience.

To create satisfied customers in an efficient and effective way by using all media and sales channels available in order to attract and encourage more customers to visit more often and buy more. This is achieved by optimizing the sales priorities using commercial activities and securing the right forecasts for the total IKEA offer. The main responsibilities are to ensure satisfied customers, develop and execute sales steering and selling the IKEA way.
