Who you are
As a person you have basic education with good communication and inter-personal skills along with computer literacy and an interest in new applications and tools. You have a deep passion, curiosity and understanding of home furnishing and people’s everyday life at home. You are experienced in home furnishing, furniture assembly, kitchen installation of all types of simple, large or complex furniture. You have a practical hands-on approach to your tasks and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. You are also self-reliant and motivated with proven ability to work as part of a larger team. You are actively seeking improved methods of working in a simple, lean, and cost-efficient way. You possess the knowledge of project management techniques.
You also possess the following abilities:
• Ability to read / write English and be able to use a smartphone / App / Tab and make accurate documentation.
• Ability to understand basic Kitchen plan drawings and execute as per design.
• Emotional resilience and ability to handle conflict (assertive and able to remain calm when confronted with angry and/or upset customers).
• Ability to work varied hours/days as needed and travel across the city to work at different locations as per customer’s requirement.
• Ability to work alone but also as a team player and effectively handle several tasks at the same time.
• Ability to review and understand assembly instructions, drawings and manuals and perform accordingly.
• Mental requirements - Ability to handle multiple and changing priorities/deadlines and moderate stress.
• Ability to work with both imperial and metric measurements.
• Able to work with diversity and lead by example.
• Able to work in a high paced retail environment.
• Ability to handle multiple customer enquiries.
• Ability to communicate via in person, phone or e-mail in English.
• Lifting/Handling Requirements - Ability to occasionally move or handle merchandise throughout the location generally 10-20 Kgs. This may include bending, stretching, reaching, and lifting on a regular basis. Any manual lifting over 25 Kgs will require the assistance of other co-worker(s) and/or use of manual lifting equipment.
• Standing for most of shift.
• Walking requirements - Freely move across all areas of the location such as sales floor, stock area, cashier area and different areas at the customer’s place as per the requirement.
• Wear PPE (personal protective equipment) where ever applicable; and to use hand tools / small power tools and related equipment.

Your responsibilities
Your responsibilities include as part of the store Service Business team you lead a team of highly motivated diverse team and use your extensive knowledge of your assembly and Installation skills to support, resolve and ensure installation of Kitchens and Countertops are accomplished at the highest level. You also support customer self-choice in the IKEA store and challenge and encourage the many people to see their homes in new ways.
Your responsibilities also include the following:
• The Installation Team Leader’s primary responsibility is managing and leading a larger and diverse installation team and providing complete Kitchen Installation service package to the customer. This ensures an enjoyable, convenient and complete shopping and buying experience producing positive customer advocacy, which leads to increased sales and sustained long-term profitability.
• Have knowledge and understanding of basic Kitchen Installation by following the instructions and manuals as per the customer approved plan / design. Use this knowledge to Install the IKEA Kitchen in the best possible quality & present the IKEA product range.
• Contributing to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market.
• You are helpful and friendly in your approach to the customers, always aiming for a win-win situation and for repeat business.
• Actively listen to feedback from customers. Use knowledge of both the product and how the IKEA organization works, to offer solutions so that customers leave the store with a positive impression.
• Work with Your colleagues to ensure that the store is always in shape as new, being conscious of the importance of safety at all times while installing IKEA Kitchen in the store or at the customer’s place.
• Are responsible for detecting efficient opportunities and applying solutions to decrease cost and increase customer satisfaction.
• Reflecting the IKEA Brand identity by creating customer satisfaction in all areas.
