Additional information:
• This role is Permanent Part-time, 40hrs/fortnight
• As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts. You also have the availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends in a month (both Saturday and Sunday).
• As part of the recruitment process this role requires a pre-employment check for final candidates.

About this work area

As a Customer Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Greeting visitors to IKEA by providing friendly, effective, and efficient information for customers.
• Securing that all products passing through the entrance are paid for.
• Supporting other areas of Customer Relations including resolving customer service issues, maintaining shopping tools (shopping baskets, trolleys, and yellow bags) and catalogues.
• Supporting customers booking their home delivery and collecting their click and collect.
• Processing returns and resolving customer issues, recognising when to escalate to someone with higher authorization.
• Handling cash and card payments in a reliable, efficient, accurate and friendly way.
• Recording information accurately in the system so we can continually make improvements to the customer shopping experience.
• Ensuring customers have a positive final touchpoint during the IKEA shopping experience.

As a Customer Co-worker you are/have:
• A passion for securing the best customer experience possible
• Excellent communication skills
• A polite and friendly manner and a ‘Togetherness’ mindset
• Able to work closely with your team and other departments or work independently
• The ability to remain calm when faced with stressful situations
• Able to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong customer service skills, alongside being able to interact with many customers consistently
• Basic computer and systems literacy
