We are looking to welcome a new Visual Merchandising & Activities Co-worker to join our design team here at Milton Keynes!

WHAT WE OFFER
Salary - £24,000
Permanent role with 39 hours working 5 days out of 7.
Shift pattern: Monday to Friday, 7am/8am start and finish around 3:30pm/4:30pm.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
We are looking for people who are driven to provide inspiration to our customers by demonstrating their knowledge of life at home and how the IKEA product range can solve their furniture, storage, and organisational needs.
Experienced working as a Visual Merchandiser preferably from a retail environment. You can demonstrate your visual competence, practical skills and attention to detail. Fashion & Textile experience is welcome.
• Passionate about home furnishing, design and how people live.
• Higher education/background in visual merchandising, Creative Design or Art and Design or relevant experience.
• Practical, hands-on skills, comfortable working with a variety of hand tools and working at height.
• Solid knowledge in design planning software including, AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
• You have a flexible mind set and collaborative working approach.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
• Contribute to position the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market.
• Provide inspiring home furnishing solutions for a single product or a combination of products that will support a convenient shopping experience & improve people’s life at home.
• Use visual merchandising competence to strengthen the uniqueness of the IKEA identity in range presentation solutions in the store by working with store layout, range presentation and vitality.
• Stay updated on trends in home furnishing & retailing to generate creative directions that inspire and surprise visitors with a strong visual impression.

RECRUITMENT PROCESS INFORMATION
The recruitment for this role is a 3 stage process. If your initial application meets the requirements you will be invited complete an online design task. The successful online tasks will progress to a virtual interview, candidates who pass the virtual interview will be progressed to the 3rd and final stage - an instore design task lasting 4 hours.
