We are looking to welcome new Visual Merchandising & Activities Co-Workers to our amazing Communication & Interior Design team based in IKEA Lakeside.
You will be passionate about providing inspiring home furnishing solutions for our customers, offering ideas for a single product or a combination of products that will support a convenient shopping experience and improve people’s life at home.
The role is hands on and involves interacting with our customers on the shop floor
Start Date: 14th October 2023
Job will be open for applications until 25th September 2023

WHAT WE OFFER
• Competitive Salary starting at £24,500 per annum based on experience and competence
• Permanent contract working 39 hours a week
• Shifts 7am - 15:30pm. Monday to Friday
• This role will require availability to work occasional late evenings, weekends, nightshift and early morning shifts may be required to support our range changes throughout the year.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
• You have an education in visual merchandising, industrial design or experience of working as a visual merchandiser, preferably within a home furnishings environment.
• You are able to inspire, motivate and engage people fully to reach set goals, and generate growth and long-term profitability.
• You continually seek new opportunities to make improvements in the way we work and encouraging your team to do the same.
• Challenging your team and yourself in order to strengthen the IKEA Brand and, at the same time, exceed the expectations of customers.
• Knowledge of in design planning software including, AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office is preferred but not essential.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
• Working with our commercial calendar you will plan, design and execute the vision on the shop floor
• Contribute to position the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market.
• Use visual merchandising competence to strengthen the uniqueness of the IKEA identity in range presentation solutions in the store by working with store layout, range presentation and vitality.
• Stay updated on trends in home furnishing & retailing to generate creative directions that inspire and surprise visitors with a strong visual impression.
