The Product Engineering Manager is a business and people focused role in the center of the our product development. Your assignment is to lead a team of Engineering specialists, as well as leading cross topics and secure excellence in operations. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

·  Lead competences development and succession plan
·  Lead the development and deployment of common Product Engineering guidelines, principles, and tools to ensure democratic design.
·  Secure and optimize planning and allocation of relevant Engineering Specialists resources in Development & Life Cycle Maintenance
·  Contribute to engineering related topics like materials and packaging, as well as to Business Area strategies and business plan.
·  Relevant parts of business & people dimension of engineering within the BA or HFB
Qualification

We are looking for you who have a good ability to and experience from developing people and business through empowering individuals and teams. To lead in a way that brings out the best of your team-members is your guiding star, and you know how to do it through communication and by creating trustful relationship. Furthermore, your stakeholder management is good and based upon experience from facilitation of processes and cross functional teams in a successful way. You have a strong drive to make things happen and lead complex matters in a global context with energy and curiosity.

Furthermore, you have:

·  Deep knowledge and understanding of the development process, and the prerequisites of the Supply and Retail organizations.
·  Continually challenging our existing capabilities to improve and develop new and even better solutions for the future.
·  Knowledge of engineering, quality, material, range, and product requirements

You have thorough knowledge of product development, and you understand the full IKEA value chain and how to create preconditions for an efficient development that will reach our targets.
