Who you are

• You have proven knowledge and working experience in managerial function, preferably in warehouse operations and logistics.
• You have proven leadership and success in building teams and motivating people.
• You have proven knowledge of health and safety laws, standards and regulations related to warehousing activities.
• You can communicate effectively with people in different positions in the organization. You are fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
• You are a dynamic and action oriented leader and team member who takes responsibility and is confident in making independent decisions.

Your responsibilities

As Parcel Warehouse Manager you will be overseeing the daily warehouse operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with safety and quality standards while maintaining a strong customer-centric focus. You will be overall responsible for delivering parcel orders to the right time with high quality in all steps of the process.

• As part of the unit management team you are responsible for overall warehouse goals settings, initiate local business plans/projects implementation and commitment to achieve excellence in running operations.
• You are responsible for staff, shift and equipment planning based on volume forecast to secure operational business and activities to meet goods availability.
• You are responsible to increase efficiency of warehouse operations to reduce cost, improve productivity and work spirit with total supply chain.
• You lead, coach and develop up to 3 team leaders with approximately 80 co-workers.
• You create co-workers` quality awareness and behaviors to reduce damage and make Everyday Product Quality reality in operation.
• You secure that working processes are in compliance with IKEA rules and guidelines as well as laws, regulations and all safety requirements are followed and maintained.
• You support and execute the ideals of 'The Human Resource Idea' with regard to recruitment, training, development and leadership.
