We have a fantastic opportunity for a Sales Team Leader (Kitchens) at our Croydon store on a full-time, permanent basis working 39 hours a week. This is an exciting opportunity, and you'll be joining a great team!

WHAT WE OFFER
• Starting salary £26,600 based on Experience & Competence
• 39-hours a week contract, working 5 days in 7 and 1 in 2 weekends.
• We operate 7 days a week and so regular shifts may fall during the weekdays, late evenings, and at the weekend.

We are looking for someone who is confident in leading a team and who treats everyone in a polite and friendly manner. The ideal candidate will have a passion to inspire co-workers to achieve common goals, as well as great and demonstrable leadership experience. You should be hardworking and ready to go the extra mile to exceed our customer’s expectations.

As a person you have good communication skills that can help to build relationships and networks with people across different functions within the unit. You can prioritise and take decisions as well as follow up and communicate progress. You will be someone who believes in the IKEA Concept, has IKEA Brand Identity and lives the IKEA Culture & Values.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
• As part of this role, you will be leading a team of Kitchen Designs Specialists and Sales Co-Workers.
• Every day on the shop floor, you lead by example; supporting and coaching co-workers.
• You will manage customer complaints and escalations in a diplomatic and professional way, working alongside Customer Services, to provide the best solutions for customers.
• Together with your team, you focus on putting the customer first in everything you do within the store.
• You work closely with the Sales Department Manager to ensure your shop is in excellent shape and fully stocked with the four merchandising basics always in place (priced, clean, well assembled, and available).
• You are passionate about the IKEA products in your store and share your knowledge with customers and your team.
• You proactively act on commercial opportunities, changing availability of products, customer feedback, local market and competition.
• You and your team actively steer to maximise sales and long-term profitability.
• You actively promote the IKEA social and environmental commitment and work with your team to understand how, together, you can contribute to sustainability.
