Job description
What is the role all about?
As Product Lifecycle Engineer (PLE) you will be responsible to support the engineering team with administration, documentation, and verification activities. You will help to secure that product information is up-to-date and according to IKEA documentation guidelines and standards.
As PLE you will:

Be responsible to perform moderate changes on product documentation including technical descriptions, compliance marking and labels, CAD drawings and packaging solutions

Support our engineering team, in life cycling our running range
·
Support in verification and validation activities, for example assemble and test furniture
·
Secure that technical product information is up-to-date and according to IKEA documentation guidelines and standards
·
Be responsible to both find and act on gaps in product documentation
·
Take a big responsibility for the legal compliance marking of the products
·
Participate in projects for product updates
Qualification
Who are we looking for?
To succeed in this role, we see that you have a background in technical administration, it is a plus if you have studied engineering. You have a passion for legal compliance and product documentation. Your knowledge in 3D drawings and SolidWorks as well as IT tools for product information will be considered as an added advantage.
We see that you are a committed and self-driven person with a strong will to influence and make a difference. You work in a structured way with analytical skills and to take the lead in planning and executing of your own work as well as in your contacts with internal and external stakeholders. You can work with repetitive tasks with attention to details, and get energy from getting things done.
You have strong communication skills in English and the ability to build trust and long-lasting relations. You are self-motivated and a goal- and delivery-oriented person with a passion for details.
