Who you are

You are passionate about developing the omnichannel business, are results driven and lead with a customer centric mindset. You thrive in building relationships and can effectively influence and manage internal stakeholders and external service providers (ESP) to secure a high-performing Customer Fulfilment (CFF) operation in a growth era. Through your leadership and strategic and tactical abilities, you are motivated to identify business opportunities and efficiencies, challenge current ways of working and are inspired to propose solutions and drive continuous improvement across the total Customer Distribution Centre (CDC) landscape in IKEA. For this role you will be required to have previous experience in leading CFF operations in a large scale set up and experience managing results across diverse stakeholder groups.

Your responsibilities

As the Logistics Operations Manager (ESP) you will be responsible for CDC Melbourne and CDC Brisbane unit operations. You will lead and support unit operations including business development of these CDC’s aligned with the Sydney CDC and global counterparts. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Secure high performing daily operations in the two ESP operated central fulfilment units through planning and following up.
• Responsibility for the financial budget and forecast, initiating actions when necessary to optimise retail cost.
• Manage and oversee ESP performance against contractual goal results.
• Secure strong commercial integration between the IKEA business and the ESP, developing a partnership built on close collaboration, ensuring the forecast, business plan and relevant actions are taken within the agreed time frames.
• Ensure SOP, safety and compliance are adhered to within the ESP operated central fulfilment units.
• Actively collaborate with key partners and stakeholders on all levels including on Market counterparts (QLD/VIC), Service Office, Store Senior Management, Global and other internal/external stakeholders.
• Travel interstate to CDC Melbourne and CDC Brisbane during key times throughout the year based on business needs.

Additional information:
• This role is permanent full time based in IKEA Distribution Centre/Customer Distribution Centre, Marsden Park NSW.
• This role is Monday to Friday with one day work from home.
• Interstate travel during key times throughout the year based on business needs and requirements.
