Job description

 

· 
Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items

· 
Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Cooks to prepare meals during our dining hours

· 
Maintain accurate food inventories

· 
Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts

· 
Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at the end of your shift

· 
Setting up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies

· 
Preparing food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)

· 
Cooking menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff

· 
Operate and maintain all kinds of kitchen appliances and equipment

· 
Assist staff with other duties as assigned by kitchen manager

· 
 Make sure all storage areas are tidy and all products are stored appropriately

· 
Maintain outstanding working relationships with staff, guests and managers

· 
Perform record keeping and reports generation duties(ie: temperature and food hygiene checklist)

· 
Can work under pressure by serving quality and safe food to the customer by walk the plate process

· 
Informing Kitchen Manager in advance of likely shortages

· 
Cover , date food items at appropriate temperatures & Constantly use safe and hygienic food handling practices

· 
Taste all food items for quality purpose before serving

 

Qualification

 

· 
Education: Culinary school diploma /GED required( Not a must)

· 
Previous job experience: 2+ years’ experience as a line Chef, Restaurant Cook or Prep Cook

· 
Certifications and Technical skills:

· 
Able to read and follow standardized recipes

· 
Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures

· 
Able to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen atmosphere

· 
Serve Safe Certification preferred

· 
Knowledgeable in Arabian and Continental Cuisine

· 
Eager to perform all kinds of additional tasks assigned by the manager

· 
Track record of working efficiently in a fast-paced and noisy environment

· 
Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently with Guest and Colleagues

· 
Can work in flexible timetable based on employer’s requirements

· 
Skilled in setting up stations in the kitchens
