Job description

For 80 years, IKEA has made it possible for people all over the world to create beautiful and functional homes. We continue to grow, develop and expand our business and in August of 2025 we will open our first warehouse in Norway, our Customer Distribution Center (CDC) in Vestby.

Our wish is to reach more of the many people by becoming closer, greener and better. With this unit we will be able to reduce the delivery time to homes across Norway.
CDC Vestby will enable IKEA Norway to give our customers an easy, convenient and integrated shopping experience wherever, whenever and however they choose to interact.

Retail is in constant change, and IKEA are on a journey with a clear ambition to become the number one omnichannel retailer in Norway. We are on our way, and for the ride we need a Warehouse Manager.

What you need to know

If people oriented leadership is in your DNA and a passion for driving operational excellence characterizes your way of working, we would love to invite you to join our journey building the future IKEA.

As Warehouse Manager you will be overseeing the daily warehouse operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with safety and quality standards while maintaining a strong customer-centric focus. You will be overall responsible for delivering orders to the right time to the right place with high quality in all steps of the process. You will set the direction and secure that every co-worker is familiar with our goals and is motivated to reach them – together.

You will lead and inspire all the people working in the warehouse and you will have a group of Team Leaders as your direct reports. An important part of your role will be to lead, coach and develop teams and leaders, and encourage a culture who protects and strengthens the IKEA values.

WHY SHOULD WE CHOOSE YOU?

To take on this role we are looking for someone who is passionate about people - both
co-workers and customers. You are dedicated to talent development, see the clear benefits of a diverse and inclusive organization, and act as a true role model for IKEA's values. As a leader you promote togetherness and build strong relationships through open communication with every part of the organization.

You need to be goal oriented and driven by results. With your eye for improvements you identify opportunities to optimise processes and productivity – always with cost-effectiveness in mind.

Experience from leading leaders is required in this role. In addition, we also believe that knowledge and understanding of how to navigate in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment is a key to succeed as a Warehouse Manager.
