Who you are
As an IKEA Food Co-worker, you will strive towards making people smile while providing irresistible food offers in a welcoming atmosphere that gives our customers a good reason to return.
• You have experience in a high volume, customer-facing environment, ideally in hospitality or sales.
• You are approachable, enjoy working directly with customer and always strive to provide them with excellent service.
• You are physically resilient and able to stand for a prolonged time also without customer frequency.
• You are a strong team player, but you also like to take responsibility for your own work.
• You thrive in a highly dynamic, stimulating environment and work well under pressure.
• You are computer literate, specifically in MS Office.
• You are flexible and understand that your working hours are based on the opening hours.
• You speak the local language fluently and have a good level of English. Knowledge of any other national language is an advantage.
Your responsibilities
• Serving and meeting customers with an empathetic, caring attitude based on the IKEA values.
• Ensuring that the food, drinks and products in your area of responsibility are of the highest quality and freshness and are presented in the most appealing way.
• Always keeping your area of responsibility clean, organized, priced and inviting.
• Accepting payments and handling cash transactions at the checkout.
• Seeing the food area through the eyes of our customers to continuously improve our and meet their needs.
• Finding more effective ways of working to reduce costs and be more cost conscious, incl. controlling waste, correcting portion sizes, checking production levels and updating cooking methods.
• Complying with and follow internal rules, policies and daily operational routines regarding issues like quality, food safety and stock figures.
