Besides our public museum we also have a key assignment within our Archive & Collection organisation to safeguard, structure and share IKEA heritage and make it accessible for today´s business development needs and for future generations.     

We are now looking for an Administrator to join the Archive & Collection team at IKEA Museum in Älmhult. We are growing and building an organization to be ready for a new challenging assignment and we need you!         

Job Description

As an Administrator at Archive & Collection you´re responsible for the overall administration and to support with different administration tasks connected to the daily running business.

Your main responsibilities will be:     

·  Contribute to create a well-functioning process to ensure a smooth, efficient and qualitative daily operation
·  Responsible for documentation in different processes, for example accessioning/deaccessioning artefacts to/from IKEA Collection
·  Register and secure information/metadata in our database (MuseumPlus)
·  Support in the process for sorting, organizing and registration of our historical documents.
·  In close cooperation with the Archive & Collection Operation Manager, monitor and follow up on incoming requests and it´s deliveries.
·  Contribute to the process for business- and action plans
·  Develop and implement activities that will increase awareness of IKEA Archive & Collections within IKEA.
·  Continuously work with improvements, processes and ways of working

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are self-reliant and motivated with the ability to work as part of a team as well as independently. You demonstrate reliability, honesty and integrity in interpersonal relations and feel comfortable in developing our ways of working. You are structured and organized with a hands-on approach - you make things happen. 

You like to work in a complex, constantly changing, international environment and last but not least - of course you share our IKEA culture and values and passion for our IKEA Brand.

Other relevant qualifications:

·  Relevant professional experience and/or comparable education in the Administration field.
·  Have good administrative, communication and documentation skills
·  Understanding of how to structure and work with historical documents and collection management
·  Ability to share your knowledge as well as you are curious and eager to learn more
·  Driven and have the ability to build trustful relationships
·  Create an open and inclusive environment.
·  Ability to communicate confidently and clearly in English, verbally and in writing.
·  Good knowledge in Microsoft office is required. 

Additional information

This position is full-time assignment (40 hours per week), starting as soon as possible. You will be located in Älmhult, Sweden and report to the Archive & Collection Manager at IKEA Museum.
