Your day to day

The  End User Services Engineer contributes to the design, engineering, implementation, deployment, documentation, testing, and ongoing capacity planning of infrastructure solutions, such as hardware, software and systems configuration solutions. The  End User Services Engineer is an experienced individual contributor within a project/work team with advanced knowledge of the job area. The End User Services Engineer may provide general guidance, direction and/or training to entry-level professionals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities – (Key Activities)

·  Creates processes and templates for infrastructure implementations.
·  Provides solution documentation in support of operational readiness, which may include training, process development, and explanation of standards.
·  Creates and set standards for hardware, software and configuration management.
·  Evaluates the impact of proposed or required changes (internally and by vendors) especially in the areas of hardware, software, performance, maintenance, and cost; provide recommendations to management with an impact assessment.
·  Serves as an escalation point for operations (Tier 3 support) for complex solution resolution and contributes to root cause analysis (may involve on call rotation).
·  May contribute to proofs of concept for technology solutions.
What we need from you

Education –Bachelor's in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.

Experience –

Typically, a minimum of 7+ years of progressive work-related experience with demonstrated proficiency in multiple disciplines, technologies, or processes related to the position.

Technical Skills and Knowledge -

·  Demonstrated experience in the implementation and maintenance of global integrated infrastructure solutions.
·  Understanding of basic project management lifecycle from conception through implementation.
·  Relevant technical knowledge of Operating Systems/Applications infrastructure technologies
·  Demonstrated technical knowledge of infrastructure technology communications/protocols –TCP/IP and other relevant protocols
·  Demonstrated experience with relevant programming/scripting and source code management.
·  Demonstrated experience with command line and interactive shells.
·  Demonstrated experience with application and network monitoring/visualization tools.
·  Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to correlate cross-platform technologies.
