Your day to day
Financial Returns:• Monitors competitor’s activities and assists in marketing intelligence• Refers international sales leads to appropriate person within the team• Aware of sales strategy and goals when selling to negotiate optimum rate for the benefit of the business• Sells all facts of the hotel with a view to optimizing opportunities for revenue growth• Handle all reservation queries that come directly to the hotel and support reservation with daily tasks and month-end reports• Grows existing business and pursues all appropriate leads by supporting the sales team• Assess and update sales and marketing data daily and monthly• Extend digital marketing assistance in the absence of marketing executive (training will be provided)• Stock control of collaterals and corporate gifts• Manages production and distribution of gift vouchers and complimentary stays as per the hotel policy• Works with the sales and marketing team to prepare and participate in sales events, cluster events and hotel events• Collaboratively working with hotel team for all internal events Guest Experience:• Follows Holiday Inn Express behaviours when working with internal and external customers• Services existing business through management of in house guests queries.• Respond to guest complaints and ensure corrective action to resolve their issues / concerns• Develops and maintains contact with business generators, travel agents, tour operators, airlines, corporate accounts, Government Departments and other producers closely aligned to hotel business.• Entertain clients with a view to maximizing business opportunities• Plan and conduct familiarization tours and site inspections• Assists with the preparation of new products and services• Assists in the evaluation of sales and marketing planning activities• Analyses sales mix and likely impact on hotel goals, generates monthly reports.• Maintain filing systems (manual and digital) and management of data base• Prepare all administration documents required by Director of Sales• Learning and support for Reservation Agent People:• Encourage high service standards in the hotel through training and leading by example• Ensure all colleagues are aligned with the Stay Real Be You brand service behaviours• Interfaces with operations on a timely basis in regards to future and existing needs for customers Responsible Business:• Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, team members and hotel assets in compliancewith hotel’s or owner’s policies and procedures and regulatory requirements• Develop and carry out action plans to be environmentally conscious by taking steps to reduce thehotel’s carbon footprint• Acting responsibly when working with hotel budget and expenses, seeking prior approval whererequired.
What we need from you
Sales and Marketing Coordinator will fulfill a role within the hotel reporting directly to Director of Sales with additional responsibilities and working relationships required with the Sales, Marketing and Reservation team. · Minimum diploma or equivalent three years’ service in the service industry· Sales, Marketing and Reservations experience is an advantage· Great communication skills and basic computer literacy· A positive and keen to learn attitude· Must be proficient in written and spoken English and with good communication skills· Must be keen to enhance the role for further career development within IHG hotels
