Your day to day
Join us as a Purchasing Buyer. You’ll have ambition, talent and obviously, some key skills. For this vital role, we’re looking for someone who will be responsible for:Upon endorsement of the Purchase Requisition by the Purchasing Manager, performs the usual search and price canvassing in accordance with the Purchasing guidelines of the Hotel. 1. Prepares a list of possible suppliers with their price quotations, ensuring that the number of possible suppliers per item is adequate.2. Maintains close liaison between the requisitioner and the suppliers when the quality is of paramount importance. In such instances, obtains the requisitioning department head’s conformity to the decision on the selected supplier and duly informs the Purchasing Manager.3. Ensures the Purchase Order (PO) is prepared within the following time frame: Stocks - 0 working days from receipt of the purchase requisition. Printing - 20 working days from receipt of the purchase requisition. Fabrication - 30 working days from receipt of the purchase requisition. Submits the same to the Purchasing Manager for approval.4. Takes the necessary steps to inform the supplier of the approved purchase orders and the required delivery date. After having completed the tabulation of prices, submits the PO to the Assistant Purchasing Manager for review and subsequent approval of the Purchasing Manager.5. Follows-up undelivered items, make proper complaints to the supplier concerned when items delivered are unsatisfactory and calls the attention of the Purchasing Manager.6. Maintains file of pending purchase requisitions (those received from various requisitioner spending the preparation of the covering purchase orders) and unserved purchase orders (those purchase orders for which deliveries have not been made by the suppliers)7. Maintains a list of accredited suppliers for ready reference.8. Ensures proper filing of the purchase orders and their supporting documents.9. Maintains good professional relationships with suppliers, and ensures the prices quoted are reasonable, of acceptable quality and can be delivered within schedule.10. Performs other duties as assigned from time to time.
