Are you looking for a Leisure Manager role that will offer you Flexibility, variety, diversity and where you can stamp you mark on the Leisure department?Based at Kimpton Charlotte Square, in central Edinburgh this role will work closely with the hotel operations team, part of InterContinental Hotel Group, a  FTSE 100 Company with a Global footprint that specialise in delivering exceptional services to its guests.

As Leisure & Spa Manager, you will support the Cluster Leisure Lead with the effective and efficient running of the hotel Leisure department to ensure financial targets are achieved whilst maintaining the highest of standards to ensure guest expectation is consistently exceeded.

Working closely with the Hotel team, you'll be committed to maintaining a fully functioning and efficient leisure department, with the emphasis on the guest experience & cleanliness.This role will give a great opportunity for a Leisure & Spa Manager to coach and lead the Leisure and Spa team and play a major part in the hotel’s growth and development.

The Role:

Areas of Accountability: Leisure Operations, Service Quality, Leisure Reporting, Training, Retail, Class Time Table/Content.

·  To effectively lead the Leisure team to ensure the highest standards of service are offered to our guests and members
·  To supervise and lead the Leisure team towards achieving targets and maintaining standards
·  Ensure the department operates efficiently by closely monitoring budgets and staff in accordance with guidance from (Cluster)Leisure Lead
·  Actively promote the Leisure club, upselling where appropriate
·  Ensure client confidentiality policies are followed among the team.
·  Monitoring and ordering of stock to ensure correct levels.
·  Within context of objectives set by manager, assign tasks, and monitor progress against performance metrics
·  Improve processes, systems or products
·  Solve multiple, undefined problems that span multiple work flows
·  Conduct regular check-ins and engagement of team members
·  identifies training gaps
The Person:

The ideal Leisure & Spa Manager will have extensive experience managing a people focused Leisure & Spa team and have strong people Leadership experience.

·  Minimum 2+ years working within a Leisure department of a hotel in a team leader or supervisory role
·  Proven record of self-initiative and leading oneself demonstrating capability to lead a small team
·  Experience of developing engaging class time tables, membership engagement and personal training programmes
·  NVQ or equivalent qualification in leisure management
·  Pool lifeguard
·  Valid First Aid Certificate
