About us

Crowne Plaza® is opening in Hobart! This is an exciting time to join this newly built full-service upscale hotel, with an expected opening date in Q1, 2020. 

The hotel will comprise of 235 guest rooms with multiple restaurants, a gymnasium and 9 versatile meeting rooms. 

The business mix will be varied with domestic & international leisure, Corporate & Government and MICE residential, day meetings and social events.

Your day to day

You'll be an energetic and dedicated team player who is looking for an opportunity to develop your kitchen skills.  Your days will be varied but primarily involve mise en place and general cleaning duties.   You will ensure the thorough cleaning of the kitchen, including dishes and floors following all health and safety procedures when caring out all tasks.  You will take direction from our team of Chefs and be able to assist with general kitchen duties.

What we need from you

Ideally you'll have some previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment and take a real sense of pride in your ability to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen.  You will be well presented, have flexibility in your availability and be able to understand and take directions.
