Your day to day
FINANCIAL RETURNS• Converts condemned items into usable items• Maintains inventory of sewing supplies such as threads, buttons, zippers, linen etc• Prepares requisitions for depleted supplies• Checks condemned linen from Laundry• Assists in linen inventory taking• Advises superior of damages and loss of linen / uniform on regular basisPEOPLE• Adheres to personal grooming and hygiene standards.• Attends meetings and training sessions as required• Comply with Hotel Rules and Regulations and provisions contained in the Employment Handbook• Comply with Company Grooming Standards• Comply with Time and Attendance Policies• Actively participate in training and development programs and maximize opportunities for self development• Comply with the company’s corporate Code of Ethics and Business Conduct. GUEST EXPERIENCE• Cleans and maintains guest rooms, guest corridors, linen rooms and cupboards according to set standards and procedures.• Release check out rooms through the telephone system as clean & vacant.• Replenishes guest supplies.• Ensures guest services specified by superiors and guests requests are promptly and courteously met.• Process maintenance requests through Espresso service to make sure that there is follow up in a timely manner.• Reports damage or malfunction in hotel rooms to superior.• Maintains a daily room checklist.• Meets with superior and takes on daily assigned tasks.• Records room status in allocated section accurately.• Maintains floral arrangements in rooms.• Demonstrate service attributes in accordance with industry expectations and company standards including: • Being attentive to guests.• Accurately and promptly fulfilling guest’s requests.• Anticipate guest’s needs.• Maintain a high level of knowledge which affects the guest experience.• Demonstrating a ‘service’ attitude.• Taking appropriate action to resolve guest complaints. • Appreciate the dynamic nature of the Hotel industry and extend these service attributes to all internal customers.RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS• Reports and submits lost and found articles to superior immediately• Reports unusual behavior/activities on floors to supervisor.• Complies with hotel’s health, safety and hygiene policy.• Demonstrate understanding and awareness of all policies and procedures relating to Health, Hygiene and Fire Life Safety.• Maintains equipment and keeps own working area clean.
What we need from you
• High school education.• Ability to speak English fluently.• Previous room attendant experience in a similar property would be an advantage.• This job requires ability to perform the following: • Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds and pushing and or pulling approximately 200 pounds . • Frequently standing up and moving about the facility • Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility • Frequently bending, stooping, and kneeling
