Your day to day
Control all balance sheet accounts by preparation of monthly account reconciliation and actions accordingly
Prepare monthly invoices for other IHG hotels and 9th floor invoices quarterly.
Prepare all journal vouchers for month-end closing.
Prepare monthly financial statements for distribution to Department Heads and Executives.
Approve various city ledger transactions before posting on Fidelio.
Approve payment requests, TER’s, employee advances and petty cash prior to payment.
To assist the Asst. Controller in budget preparation and input, forecast reports and monthly reporting to the Corporate Office.
Supervise Accounts department in the absence of the Assistant Controller.
Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.
Perform spot checks on Income auditing.
As Accounting Specialist, you’ll direct the financial operations of the hotel and ensure the security of hotel assets. Reporting on the financial state of hotel you'll also make recommendations to improve hotel profitability. You'll be the first point of contact for all hotel financial - and accounting-related issues with owners, auditors (internal and external) and regulatory agencies
What we need from you
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent and three years in hotel accounting or internal audit with one year in a supervisory role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must speak fluent English. IHG background is preferable
