Your day to day
Join us as an Electrician. You’ll have ambition, talent and obviously, some key skills. For this vital role, we’re looking for someone who will be responsible to perform the following tasks as per standard:Responsible for the efficient repair of all electrical faults reported during the shift. Carries out installation works, modifications as instructed.Responsible for servicing and attending to repairs on various types of electrical equipment such as kitchen equipment, heating, ventilating and air conditioning equipment, including motors, pumps, fans, water treatment plants, sewage treatment plant and electricity generators.Responsible for the maintenance and efficient operation of all main Hotel Electrical Plant, e.g. meters, switch equipment, lighting system, etc.Responsible for working a shift system as established.Attends to repairs and maintenance of electrical circuits in all areas of Hotel control.Advises on improvements to present electrical systems.Responsible for noting all items used from Stores during the shift, with the exception of those items listed on the maintenance work sheets.Responsible for reporting any potential hazard noted while on duty.Responsible for carrying out emergency generator tests and for reporting on this on a weekly basis.Responsible for testing emergency battery systems and for logging results in the logbook provided.Carries out weekly fire alarm test.Carries out monthly fire extinguisher check.Responsible for undergoing any training deemed necessary by the Chief Engineer.
What we need from you
High school diploma or GCE general Education Certificate or an equivalent qualificationDemonstrated ability to perform a wide variety of maintenance and operational tasks2-3 years hands-on commercial or industrial electrical experience under a licensed electricianAbility to troubleshoot controls and electrical systems with amp meters, voltmeters, tracers, and recording devicesAbility to read electrical schematics, electrical prints, wiring diagrams, and nameplatesKnowledge of single phase and three phase AC circuitsAble to work alone or in groupsTeam player and highly self-motivated individualExperienced in implementing safety procedures in the workplaceMiddle East Experience is a plus
