Set in the food mecca that is Adelaide Markets this is a hotel for locals and visitors alike. The first Hotel Indigo to be launched in Australia, Hotel Indigo Adelaide Markets comprises 145 guest rooms, a lively restaurant and a soon to be iconic roof top bar with panoramic views of Adelaide this hotel is going to set the trend for local dining and cosmic cocktails. Hotel Indigo Adelaide Markets will open its doors to a wide array of domestic & international boutique hotel guests and the hotel will employ colleagues aka "Neighbourhood hosts" across multiple disciplines.
Your day to day
As Director of Sales, you are responsible for the overall function of proactive sales, to maximise performance,drive RGI improvements, profitability and return on investment managing activity and total revenue generation. You should have proven record as a hunter and converter of business in a number of market segments. You will form strategic external alliances and partners to support the Hotel’s positioning and actively promote the Hotel and brand through community and professional involvement. Hotel Indigo heavily leverages the local neighbourhood, you will live and breath the local Adelaide scene. Being a great leader and a committed team player is essential. You will be responsible for the performance management & development of the small commercial team on property. You will create a positive and productive work environment. You will build, motivate, and lead an effective team that delivers results and is highly engaged.
What we need from you
To be successful in this role you'll have demonstrated excellence in these fields at a similar level as well as outstanding internal stakeholder and owner management, understanding of brand delivery and the ability to impact and influence the overall business agenda and execution. You'll bring great knowledge and experience, be forward thinking and inspirational with a warm and approachable manner. This is a senior commercial role in a full service hotel with a variety of facilities. This role will manage professional level and administrative sales team members. Ideally you will have a Bachelor’s degree/higher education qualification/equivalent in Business or Commerce, a minimum 2 years’ experience in a senior sales or marketing capacity within Australasia with a proven track record of success, excellent written and verbal communication skills, undertaken formal Sales Management training and comprehension of Hotel systems and revenue management principles.
