About us

IHG has opened its newly built full-service upscale hotel  - Crowne Plaza Hobart.  The hotel is managed by Intercontinental Hotel Group (IHG) and owned by Tasmanian locals.

The 235 room hotel offers a gymnasium, 9 versatile meeting rooms, and 2 restaurants and bars.

Your day to day

The moment a guest steps into one of our hotels, they walk into a genuinely memorable experience. As Concierge you’ll respond to the guests’ first requests and enquiries to ensure complete guest satisfaction. 

You will assist them by taking their luggage up to the front desk with a warm handover to a Guest Service Agent.  You will offer valet parking and drive their car safely to a nearby carpark, hastening back to greet the next guest.

What we need from you

·  Experience in a Guest Services position preferred but not essential
·  Qualification in Hotel Management preferred but not essential
·  Excellent communication skills, bilingual or multilingual language skills are advantageous 
·  A passionate team player, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise workloads
·  Must hold a valid full drivers’ licence and be able to drive both automatic and manual vehicles 
·  Must be fit and healthy to meet the physical demands of this role
·  Be computer savvy and have the ability to learn systems
