Your day to day
Purpose of the Role:
Serve as a brand champion to IHG’s largest brand- Holiday Inn Express, with over 2,500 hotels globally. Always keep the hotel owner, operator and guest top of mind, with a focus on driving product innovation in the Limited Service hotel segment. Support the brand team with essential functions including invoicing, data reporting, and spearheading creative solutions for the brand experience space.
Key Accountabilities:
· Assist the department VP, directors and managers in centrally managing and developing global guest experience hallmarks such as breakfast, sleep, and service.
· Manage day-to-day relationships with agency(s) and fulfillment vendor(s) to ensure timelines are met and costs are well managed. Follow up, as appropriate, on status updates and action items to maintain project progress.
· Mine guest insights database to provide further color and/or clarification on guest satisfaction scores. Communicate trends, key highlights, and risks/opportunities in an executive summary format to Director/VP.
· Eager to work collaboratively and cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders. Able to perform both independently and as part of a team, particularly if an initiative spans across multiple brands or departments.
· Prepare a variety of departmental reporting/presentation materials, gathering and summarizing information from various sources as requested. Create spreadsheets or dashboards for ongoing reporting on key initiatives.
· Coordinate production of promotional and program materials, including support tools for both hotels and field operations teams.
· Monitor departmental budgets to include vendor billing, estimates, invoice coding and tracking, end of month reconciliation, etc. Report discrepancies or budgetary issues to Director or VP.
What we need from you
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Experience
• 2 to 5 years progressive work related experience in a corporate marketing environment and/or Hotel Operations with demonstrated proficiency in one or more functions related to position, including multiple project management. Latin-American market knowledge.
Technical Skills and Knowledge:
· 4-6 years of experience working in client or agency-side product marketing and development
· Extremely detail-oriented
· Strong communication skills for both internal and external outlets
· Knowledge of franchise operating model and/or experience working in a hotel is a plus
· Demonstrated ability to implement and track multiple projects at one time.
· Demonstrated organizational skills and follow-through in tracking ongoing processes.
· Demonstrated ability to maintain a consistent, high-quality customer-focused organization.
· Demonstrated knowledge of marketing principles.
· Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills, and ability to use the results of analysis to make effective program-related decisions.
