Asset Management Intern - renewable energy investment fund, central London. U.K, 6 months with possibility for a permanent role

London based boutique merchant bank and investment fund with an extensive asset portfolio within renewable energy across Europe.

We are looking for an Intern with academic background in Physics, Engineering, Geography, Renewable Energy or similar degrees to join one of the first investment banks specialising in developing renewable energy in Europe.

The role offers the opportunity to get involved in lots of different activities mainly around the asset management projects of the company. You will be communicating with O&M and EPC providers alongside the transaction and admin teams of the company.

You will have exposure to different activities and you will be required to turn your hand up to anything - administrative duties, answering the phone, greeting clients, crunching numbers for reports, etc.

You'll be given as much responsibility as you can handle - the environment is fast paced, fun and progressive and with some strong personalities, so this is definitely not for the feint hearted.

About you

We're looking for someone with a passion to develop a career in renewable energy or investment management - or preferably both.

You'll have a top quality academic background - minimum 2:1 or better from high ranked University, including a degree or Masters in Physics, Geography, Engineering, Renewable Energy.

You most likely have some experience already (but it is not a prerequisite) - preferably in the investment sector, asset management or renewable energy.

You're extremely hardworking and happy to join a team working long hours.

Fluent English with great written and oral communications skills. Fluency in a second language, Italian in particular, is useful.

You must be highly computer literate with very strong MS Office skills, preferably highly advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word.

The position is based in Central London - West End.

Remuneration

Subsistence + weekly rate - negotiable depending on experience / expertise.
