An exciting opportunity has arisen here at Deeside as a Security Officer
Overview:
To maintain the security of personnel and property at Deeside head office, Deeside depot and various off site locations.
Responsibilities include:
· Maintaining security within coldstore, chilled and ambient warehouse environments.
· Monitor and control access to Deeside head office and depot.
· Ensure smooth, efficient and controlled vehicle and pedestrian movement in and around a busy distribution depot.
· Monitor and react to local and remote fire, gas and critical alarm systems.
· Monitor and maintain building access systems.
· Monitor site CCTV systems.
· Provide out of hours point of contact for media and customer enquiries.
· Implement current Health and Safety regulations.
· Provide basic first aid and fire fighting assistance.
· Monitor and maintain the security of remote locations.
· Maintain and promote a security presence within the business.
Applicant:
The applicant will be required to work a day/night shift pattern, be a proven team member who is confident in their own ability and is capable of acting on their own initiative. The applicant should be capable of dealing with any given situation in a clear, calm manner and have excellent communication skills. The applicant should be reliable, trustworthy and adaptable and be computer literate, numerate and have a clean driving licence. Previous security experience is desirable but not essential.
