Refrigeration Engineer -West Yorkshire
UNITED KINGDOM Design / Civil engineering / Industrial engineering
Job description
Refrigeration Engineer - West Yorkshire Region
We’re Iceland. One of the top companies to work for in the UK over the past ten years. We’re one big team. A team of like-minded individuals who roll up their sleeves and work together to get the job done.
We’re famous for our frozen food section. But sometimes our freezers break or need a bit of maintenance to keep them running smoothly. And of course, that could be a problem, because no one wants their food to be damp and soggy. But that’s where you come in. You’ll keep our famous frozen food section, well, frozen.
The role is challenging with a wide variety of equipment to repair and maintain from integral freezers to remote packs and everything in between. We expect a lot, and you’ll get a lot back in return. You’ll have the freedom to plan your day and take responsibility to look after your own stores. But don’t worry, you won’t be on your own as help will always be on hand to support you in your role.
We’re all about making your life and career at Iceland as simple as possible. From equipping your van with everything you’ll need or paying you from door to door, rewarding you for every job you get done. And we say career because this isn’t just a job. We promote from within, helping our people further their careers with us.
About you:
It’s important you’re experienced as an engineer in the commercial refrigeration space with a level two gas engineer qualification and a driving licence. You’ll have excellent people skills, whether that’s communicating with your Iceland colleagues or our customers.
We offer competitive rates of pay for all our refrigeration engineers with excellent overtime opportunities available. There is an option for private use of your company van, 33 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays), great training, career progression and, of course, discount in all of our stores!
If you’re ready to start an exciting career where you’ll be playing a vital role in keeping Iceland running, join us today.
