Job description

We have a new opportunity for a Network & Infrastructure Project Analyst to join our IT Department. 

Reporting to the Network Services Program Manager, the Network & Infrastructure Project Analyst supports the delivery of projects related to IT infrastructure and network systems. This role assists in coordinating project tasks, tracking progress, and ensuring smooth execution while considering technical requirements, business needs, and stakeholder expectations.

This position plays a key role in maintaining Iceland’s IT operations by helping to ensure systems are secure, scalable, and reliable to support business objectives.

Network & Infrastructure Project Analyst – Key Responsibilities

·  Project Support & Coordination
·  Assist in delivering initiatives that enhance or maintain the organization's IT systems.
·  Support the planning and coordination of resources, schedules, and technical requirements.
·  Help track multiple ongoing projects and ensure smooth execution.
·  Network Systems Support
·  Provide support for network upgrades, bandwidth improvements, Wi-Fi deployments, network security enhancements, hardware refreshes, and redundancy planning.
·  Work alongside technical teams to ensure network performance, security, and reliability.
·  Risk & Change Support
·  Assist in identifying potential risks and supporting mitigation plans.
·  Help manage changes during infrastructure transitions while minimizing business disruption.

Skills and Qualifications

Technical Knowledge

·  Basic understanding of IT infrastructure components.
·  Some familiarity with networking protocols, devices, and systems (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls).

Project Coordination Skills

·  Awareness of project management methodologies like Waterfall and Agile.
·  Experience with tools such as MS Project, Jira, or similar for tracking tasks.

Personal Skills

·  Strong communication and teamwork skills.
·  Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal teams and third parties.
·  Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented.
