PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To coordinate marketing planning and activity that supports with the delivery of International & Partnerships department strategy and marketing framework, aligning with Iceland & the Food Warehouse's key marketing and trading messaging where applicable, while maintaining brand consistency across all initiatives.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Develop and manage bespoke customer activity planners, ensuring alignment with core business objectives alongside the International & Partnerships business strategy.
· Work with the wider marketing team, trading and retail to bring together the planning and phasing of customer-facing activity across the business. This includes the annual calendar, promotions, events, range launches and campaigns.
· Work with our internal Senior Account Managers to understand tailored customer pricing, promotions, and ranging to assist with the structure and planning of the Marketing activity calendar.
· Collaborate with the administration team to create and maintain customer sales and NPD packs.
· Support the sales team with the preparation of presentation materials as required.
· Record and distribute minutes from weekly update meetings.
· Oversee LinkedIn administration, including:
· Outreach and tracking new follower data
· Monitoring inbox activity and post comments
· Updating header imagery in line with team updates
· Creating copy and content for posts
· Maintain marketing planners, incorporating new customers and plan changes.
· Assist in the delivery of departmental events across International & Partnerships.
· Manage deadlines, critical paths, and schedules, ensuring relevant teams are informed of progress and timelines.
· Conduct market research and engage with different markets to understand emerging trends, audience behaviour and competitors activity.
· Capture the detail of planning and development of each activity, event and proposition, using excellent project management skills.
· Understand the full retail operation to influence space instore to create customer relevant propositions.
· Collate and cascade all required information to the relevant teams.
· Ensure all teams have the correct information to brief creative and review all creative ahead of live.
· Collate analysis of key market activity and data to inform future campaigns.
· Provide ad hoc support to the wider Marketing team as needed.
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE
· Ability to plan and organise, as well as managing multiple changing priorities. Able to manage short-, medium- and long-term workload.
· Eye for detail, ensuring that the output of all work is 100% accurate.
· Strong communicator both verbally and written
· Proficient use of all Microsoft applications
· Previous experience in a Marketing role is preferred but not essential.
