Role Summary

This role will support the retail teams with clear and insightful financial information to help drive performance and cost control.

Purpose of the role:

·  Provide financial control whilst at the same time developing relationships within the business to provide support and insight to operational teams.
·  Preparation of periodic management accounts with variance analysis for review by Finance Manager and operational teams
·  Preparation of department Balance Sheet reconciliations
·  Assist in pulling together robust forecasts and budgets to measure business performance for store retail costs and head office departments
·  Preparation of a suite of weekly reports that support decision making by the business
·  Provide insightful analysis to support operational teams to understand the drivers of cost variances, proactively challenging performance when required
·  Support other members of the team and the business as required with ad hoc duties

Skills required:

·  Part qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) is desirable, but not essential.
·  Commercial awareness and the ability to highlight opportunities and add value.
·  Seeks to implement and improve processes
·  Accountability for own actions and results with an inquisitive mindset
·  Advanced Excel skills essential, SQL / Azure knowledge preferable.
·  Microsoft dynamics 365 experience would be advantageous.
