Innovation Centre Assistant – Iceland Innovation Centre, Deeside

Department: Buying / Innovation Centre
Hours: Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm (flexibility between 8am–6pm required)

Location: Deeside – Iceland Innovation Centre

Are you organised, proactive, and ready to play a key role in supporting product innovation?
We’re looking for an Innovation Centre Assistant to help keep our state‑of‑the‑art Innovation Centre running smoothly and professionally. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with Development Chefs, Product Developers, the Innovation Centre team, and key stakeholders across the business.

✨ What You’ll Be Doing

You will support the daily operations of the Innovation Centre Kitchen, ensuring the environment is clean, well‑organised, fully stocked, and ready to inspire creativity and innovation.

Daily Duties Include:

·  Setting up all kitchen panel rooms with required equipment and ensuring all areas are clean and ready for the working day.
·  Supporting prep for all panels including Showcase, Gate Meetings, Reviews, and any additional sessions.
·  Managing shared shopping lists, planning efficient shopping routes, and ensuring samples are stored correctly on return.
·  Visiting multiple retailers, outlets, and suppliers to source products and samples.
·  Maintaining accurate stock control and inventory of all kitchen samples and supplies.
·  Logging and managing petty cash and credit card receipts.
·  Booking and managing pool car usage for all shopping requirements.
·  Maintaining high standards of cleanliness in pot wash, kitchens, and across the Innovation Centre.
·  Supporting with deep cleaning of ovens, microwaves, fridges, freezers, sinks, dishwashers, and other equipment.
·  Assisting Development Chefs during busy periods and ensuring kitchens remain tidy throughout the day.
·  End‑of‑day clean‑down and ensuring all areas are ready for the following morning.
·  Providing cover for the Warehouse Operative during absences, including sample movement, organisation, and clear‑outs.
