We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced “Energy Analyst” to join the existing team at Deeside

 

PURPOSE OF ROLE

 

To optimise energy consumption across the estate by analysing usage patterns, implementing reduction strategies, and monitoring progress. The role is also responsible for preparing financial reports, supporting business requirements through financial analysis, and ensuring utility supplies are appropriately sized and maintained

 

Objectives:

Identification and Reduction of Energy Consumption

·  Analyse energy usage patterns and identify areas for improvement.
·  Develop and implement strategies to reduce energy consumption.
·  Monitor and report on the progress of energy-saving initiatives.

Financial Reporting

·  Prepare and deliver financial reports related to energy consumption and savings.
·  Support business requirements through accurate and timely financial analysis.
·  Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure energy costs are tracked and managed effectively.

Utility Supply Management

·  Ensure that utility supplies to new and existing sites are appropriately sized and maintained.
·  Coordinate with utility providers and contractors to manage installations and upgrades to time and budget.

 

TECHNICAL  SKILLS

 

·  Ability to analyse complex data to identify trends and exceptions and make recommendations based on acceptable energy payback.
·  Experience in producing financial budgets and accruals.
·  Proficiency in preparing technical documents.
·  Experience in undertaking utility upgrades to new and existing sites.
·  Demonstrated practical aptitude.
·  Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
·  Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.

·  Logical thinker / problem solving.
·  Self-driven with willingness to learn and enthusiasm to be involved.
·  Sociable and communicative with the ability to fit into a face paced results driven team.

 

QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE

 

·  Educated to degree level or above in an engineering, scientific or mathematical discipline.
·  3 years + specific energy experience with multi-site organisation.
·  Experience in the design and build of detailed spreadsheets, and with manipulating large quantities of data.
·  Having a keen interest in practical engineering essential.
