Buying Transformation Manager
Purpose of Role:
The Buying Transformation Manager will be required to lead on the integration of new technologies within the Buying Department, supporting both technical implementation and cultural change.
· Managing Change Activities: Overseeing structural, cultural and process changes in line with the programme of works
· Systematic Approach: Creating a systematic approach to change and managing the overall critical path of their programme of works
· Assessing Impact: Assessing the effect of business change and the organization's preparedness to reduce possible risks
· Training and Communication: Overseeing all training and communication linked to the integration of new systems and processes
· Technical Solutions: Building a in depth knowledge of business processes, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and helping to land technical solutions across the Buying departments
· Stakeholder Management: Ensuring all stakeholders are consulted on decisions, gathering feedback and cascading information effectively in an organised and timely manner
· Providing Strategic Direction: Ensuring all initiatives align with the organization’s broader vision and long-term objectives
Key Accountabilities:
· Programme Management: Maintain well structured, organised and informed project plans, ensuring all key deadlines are met and resource is prioritised effectively
· Budget Adherence: Ensure all workstreams are delivered in line with programme budgets and that all spend is well tracked and accounted for
· Head of Department Support: Ensure that the Head of Merchandising & Space is well informed of all programme activities and support with wider Buying strategic objectives
· ROI Control: Ensure that ROI as part of all initiatives are reviewed on a regular basis and strategy is aligned to deliver maximum long term improvements to sales and profitability
· Continuous Improvement: Help to identify and deliver new opportunities and improvements to departmental processes through data insight and changes to ways of working

Technical Skills
· Demonstrated project management skills in a fast-paced cross functional environment
· Demonstrated data analysis experience
· Large data analysis within SQL, PowerBI, Tableau, Google Analytics, etc, preferable
· Knowledge of cloud based data management and analytics would be beneficial
· Experience working across Microsoft Office and Sharepoint services.
Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience
· Required experience within a Retail Buying/Trading environment. Experience working within a merchandising or space planning team preferable but not required.
· Required experience working with and influencing senior business stakeholders across multiple business functions
· Experience in a front-line retail role desirable
· Experience in managing a team of reports to deliver multiple workstreams simultaneously
· Excellent presentation skills and the ability to translate complex information into easy to understand content for multiple audiences
· A flexible approach to the working environment and able to demonstrate the ability to respond to a fast moving, rapidly changing market and business.
