To expand our team in Berlin, we are looking for a:

Junior Backend Developer (m/f)

Specialised, high complex services require a stable, highly efficient system. As a Junior Backend Developer, you share our compassion for creating customer value and service excellence, with the background of an extensive, complex systems development and operations experience.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Develop new features and enhance existing features of the ICE Copyright systems
• Improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of system and sub-systems
• Fix bugs and improve maintainability
• Promote code for User Acceptance Test and support testing efforts
• Contribute to systems design as well as effort estimation and planning 
• Document detailed designs, modules and source code
• Conduct design and code review.
• Collaborate and communicate with all stakeholders on design, development and testing
• Drive for excellence in adhering to processes, meeting technical standards and continuously improving best practices 

Your Profile

• “ein bisschen Deutsch” is a nice to have, but your English should be fluent to feel comfortable in our international environment
• You have a University Degree in Computer Science or other relevant field? That’s great!
• First experience with software development would be a great plus!
• If you have knowledge about software development methodologies - we'll clap our hands ecstatically
• What else? Strong interest in building and maintaining large-scale server applications, in developing and debugging applications and strong interest to join a team of highly professional and experienced engineers
• Thumbs up if you additionally are analytic, structured, service minded, a great team player, driven, willing to learn new things and if you adapt well in a changing environment

Availability to travel occasionally across Europe up to 5% of time is required. Initial training will take place in Stockholm, Sweden. This position is based in Berlin.
