We're looking for enthusiastic and innovative team members to join us in several application and developer-centric security roles at our location in Research Triangle Park, NC.
Position Summary:
This squad is responsible for piloting, deploying, integrating, operating and supporting developer-centric security services provided to internal development teams.
The security services specialist role includes all aspects of the squad mission but primarily focuses on service enablement, operations and support.
For service enablement, this role will assist internal development teams with onboarding, planning and integration to maximize business value and enhance user experience.
For operations, this role will assist with the operation, monitoring and maintenance of several security services. These services are currently application security testing services and web application firewalls.
For support, this would be first and second tier support of users, handling questions related to the service, integration issues, basic remediation and process questions, etc.
In each of these areas, a crucial aspect of this role is to identify areas for improvement and automation to reduce the need for non-automated processes and interventions, and to work with the squad to define improved processes and tools.
Essential Job Duties:
- Focus on driving service automation, enabling squad members to work on more advanced tasks and to enhance the value derived from the deployed services.
- Perform day-to-day enablement, monitoring and operational support of managed solutions and service provider relationships.
- Assist in evaluating existing security services and propose modifications and additional services and capabilities to meet any gaps identified
- Respond to, handle and escalate service and implementation issues.
- Assist in the creation of metrics for measuring service success and business value
- Participate regularly in squad, project and organization meetings
- Mentoring and coaching
- Perform other duties as assigned

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
* At least 5 years of security service operations and support experience
* At least 3 years of experience with application security and system security
* At least 2 years of experience with application firewalls
* Working knowledge of Linux, UNIX and Windows or OSX.
* Familiarity with DevOps.
* Track record of acting with integrity, taking pride in work, seeking to excel, self-motivation, being curious and adaptable, mentorship and communicating effectively.
