We are looking for a Data Scientist trainee to join our Cognitive & Analytics consulting team in Helsinki.

In this role, you will:
·  Tackle complex business problems in different industries, such as predictive maintenance, optimization of large-scale industrial processes, disease prediction, anomaly detection, text/image/video analytics – almost anything where data can be utilized, we are there.
·  Process, explore and visualize given data
·  Apply state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms in order to solve the problem
·  Discuss your findings in a team of professionals, learning from the best and growing your proficiency
We hope that you are:
·  Highly motivated, solution-centric and interested in using data science to make a difference. We believe that the global cognitive computing breakthrough is on its way, and as a data scientist, you are in its core.
·  Studying towards a university degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, IT Management, Economics or similar, preferably in your last year. This is because we wish to offer you a smooth transition to work life.
·  Fluent in at least one programming language, with experience on data processing and scientific computing
·  Somewhat experienced with machine learning and artificial intelligence methods and algorithms (with R, Python, SPSS or Watson technologies). But don't worry – if you don't know random forests and self-organizing maps by heart, you will learn them as needed!
·  A team player. You get to work with people from all backgrounds and disciplines, so good verbal and written communication skills are needed. Both English and Finnish proficiency are required .
