We are currently recruiting for a Full Time Restaurant and Events Manager to join our team.
Reporting to the Food and Beverage Manager, the Restaurant and Events Manager plays a pivotal role at Hyatt Regency Brisbane and Lennons Restaurant, collaborating closely with the culinary team and front-of-house staff. This position is central to the marketing, planning, and execution of both restaurant operations and private events. The Restaurant and Events Manager is responsible for ensuring exceptional client satisfaction for all events, as well as overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant to guarantee an outstanding dining experience for all patrons.
Main Responsibilities include but not limited to:
· Oversee the daily operation of the restaurant during scheduled shifts, ensuring smooth service and guest satisfaction.
· Manage restaurant staff, including providing feedback, handling scheduling, and overseeing their adherence to service standards.
· Address and resolve customer requests and complaints promptly and professionally.
· Greet and seat guests, manage table reservations, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere.
· Ensure high standards of hygiene, safety, and quality control within the restaurant.
· Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and handle cash management.
· Serve as the primary contact for all event inquiries, including phone and email communications.
· Collaborate with the Executive Chef and kitchen staff to plan and execute menus and setups for private and special events.
· Conduct client meetings to discuss event details, setup, and menu options.
· Organize and supervise the setup of event spaces, including large-scale items such as tables and chairs.
· Prepare event contracts and post-event invoices, and handle any event-related client requests or complaints.
· Track and evaluate event costs and profitability.
· Promote Hyatt Regency Brisbane and Lennons Restaurant as a premier venue for events through targeted marketing efforts.
· Build and maintain relationships with event vendors and partners to create opportunities for cross-promotion and referrals.
· Represent the restaurant at local networking events and collaborate with the Communications Director on additional marketing strategies.
Requirements:
· Extensive knowledge of fine dining procedures and restaurant operations.
· Understanding of food and wine pairing principles, with a preference for familiarity with local wines.
· Demonstrated exceptional customer service skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
· Proven experience in a similar role
· Previous experience using Infrasys is highly regarded
· Current RSA
· Current RMLV is advantageous
· Flexibility around working across all shifts including nights, weekends & public holidays
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
· Unlimited/Unrestricted work rights in Australia
