The Role

The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for overseeing the Materials Department and managing all procurement activities to ensure the efficient sourcing, purchasing, and delivery of goods and services required for the hotel's operations. The role will work closely with all departments to maintain cost-effective purchasing practices, ensure compliance with Hyatt's policies and standards, and develop strong supplier partnerships while supporting the hotel's financial and operational goals.

Key responsibilities :

· Manage and oversee all purchasing, receiving, inventory control, and storage activities to ensure efficient hotel operations.

· Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers while negotiating competitive pricing and favorable contract terms.

· Conduct market research and obtain competitive quotations to ensure the best quality products and services at the most cost-effective prices.

· Monitor departmental budgets, control procurement costs, and identify opportunities for cost savings while maintaining quality standards.

· Ensure compliance with Hyatt policies, internal controls, and purchasing procedures across all procurement activities.

· Maintain optimal inventory levels and enforce proper stock management practices to minimize waste and shortages.

· Collaborate with department heads to understand operational requirements and ensure timely procurement of goods and services.

· Analyze purchasing trends and provide management with recommendations on cost control, supplier performance, and procurement strategies.

· Support the hotel's financial and operational objectives through effective procurement planning and resource management.

Due to local labor law restrictions, applicants must hold work authorization for Jordan, namely a Jordanian ID

Desired profile

Qualifications :

· 3-5 years of experience in a similar position in Purchasing, preferably within the hospitality industry.

· Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

· Good analytical, budgeting, and problem-solving abilities.

· Strong understanding of procurement processes, inventory management, and hotel operations.
