About Park Hyatt London River Thames 

Opening 2024, Park Hyatt London River Thames offers 203 spacious and comfortable rooms, including two ambassador suites and a presidential suite. With stunning city and river views, signature Charlie Whinney pieces, and a convenient location in the heart of London, the hotel is an ideal launchpad to explore the city, with nearby attractions including Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and Kings Road. The hotel will boast exquisite dining options, state-of-the-art events space and an indulgent spa with relaxation lounges, nail salon, spa rooms and indoor pool. 

Duties and responsibilities related to the ​Pastry Chef​ role 

· Lead and manage the Pastry Department, ensuring smooth and efficient operations to consistently deliver high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods for all outlets within the hotel.
· Develop innovative and creative pastry recipes and menu items, considering seasonal ingredients, dietary restrictions, and guest preferences, while maintaining the standards of the hotel's culinary offerings.
· Train, mentor, and supervise pastry kitchen colleagues, fostering a culture of excellence, professionalism, and teamwork to achieve departmental goals and create a reputation for exceptional pastry craftsmanship.
· Oversee inventory management and procurement of pastry ingredients and supplies, optimizing stock levels, minimizing waste, and ensuring cost-effectiveness while adhering to budgetary constraints and quality standards.
· Collaborate with other department heads and culinary teams to coordinate pastry offerings with overall menu concepts, ensuring seamless integration of pastry items into dining experiences.

About you 

Previous experience in a similar role is essential, with strong leadership and management skills, and the ability to motivate and inspire a team. You will have excellent knowledge of food trends, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
