Job description

We are looking for an Head Hostess to join our pre-opening team at Andaz Lisbon.

Expected to open in Q2 2025, Andaz Lisbon will offer guests an exciting new luxury lifestyle hotel in the Portuguese capital – and it will represent a key milestone in Hyatt’s continued brand growth in Southern Europe. Andaz Lisbon is set to become the second Hyatt-branded hotel in Lisbon. Located in the center of Lisbon’s bustling Baixa district and situated along the main pedestrian road, Rua Augusta, the hotel will be comprised of five separate buildings, including the former offices of one of the major banks in Portugal, Banco Português de Investimento (BPI). This central building of the hotel will offer 170 guestrooms, with the surrounding four satellite buildings of the hotel offering guests various private suites to choose from. This unique Urban Resort in the city center will allow guests to fully embrace the locale and experience authentic Lisbon.

About the role

As Head Hostess will plays a crucial role in ensuring guests have an exceptional experience

Key Responsibilities:

· Leadership: Provide guidance and support to a team of hostesses, ensuring high standards of service.
· Guest Interaction: Welcome guests warmly, manage reservations, and escort them to their tables.
· Service Excellence: Ensure guests receive top-quality service throughout their stay, addressing any concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
· Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with guests and staff, both verbally and non-verbally.
· Menu Knowledge: Have a thorough understanding of the menu to assist guests with their choices.
· Appearance: Present a professional and approachable demeanor, reflecting the hotel's luxury standards.
· Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and company policies, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.

·  Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
·  Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
·  Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong leadership abilities, and a customer-focused attitude.
