Job description
Grounded in our Purpose to “care for People so they can be their Best,” a Director of Sales & Marketing is responsible for bringing this Purpose to life through the execution and delivery of the Hyatt brand and brand experiences across all stakeholders: guests, colleagues, customers, owners, and communities.
With passion, care, and a strong work ethic, DOSM actively and consistently engage all stakeholders to listen, learn, and lead a diverse team focused on building brand loyalty and cultivating positive guest experiences.
The Director of Sales & Marketing will be responsible for the efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest and owner expectations. Is responsible to provide leadership in all selling activities within the hotel, working closely with the Rooms, Food and Beverage and other revenue-generating departments to achieve optimal occupancy, growth in existing accounts, and generating new business, all to maximize total revenue and meet/exceed hotel profit objectives.

Qualifications :

Minimum 3 years of experience as a DOSM or similar in hospitality environments
· Strong understanding of luxury positioning and customer experience
· Strong analytical and commercial acumen with the ability to manage departmental budgets, forecast accurately in dynamic markets.
· Well versed in consortia and luxury group business
· Ability to understand and build strategy based on data
· Strategic thinker with proven ability to build strategy
· Ability to build teams and drive results with clear expectations and goals
· Relationship builder in the community and demonstrate leadership in tourism community
·
Clear understanding of marketing - including social media, digital and traditional marketing - sales, public relations, and guest experience programming
· Strong communication skills with experience presenting to and managing ownership and asset management groups
·
Motivator and coach with ability to manage multiple levels of experience
· Demonstrated success operating in dynamic, high-demand hospitality markets
·
Bi-lingual preferred (English/Spanish highly desirable)
