Job description

Is part of the Corporate Finance team responsible for maintaining books of accounts as per the prescribed Accounting Standards and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

Main Duties

· To ensure the adherence of Standard Accounting procedures in all the accounting operations.

· Ensure all financial activities, maintenance of accounts including but not limited to the management of cash flow.

· Budgetary control to ensure desired financial performance with emphasis on profit maximization through revenue enhancement and strict expenditure controls.

· Balance Sheet Management.

· Handle accounts receivable activities including necessary follow ups from the hotels.

· Timely completion of Statutory and Internal Audit of the unit without any qualifications.

· Handle all matters pertaining to insurance policies, banking etc.

· To assume responsibility for preparing all MIS reports, to develop a more informative database for improved management decision –making and critical evaluation of activities.

· Inform and advise the departmental heads in the areas of financial performance, cost benefit analysis, cost management etc.

· Assist in processing of payroll and analyse various reports on regular interval.

· Direct the budgeting process for all Capital and Operational requirements

· Develop systems and procedures that achieve higher cost efficiency

· Compliance with all statutory requirements, both Direct & Indirect Taxes, on timely basis with latest updates and amendments therein

· To ensure the timely submission of accurate data including returns to various tax authorities and per applicable laws

· Maintenance of Fixed Assets Register

· Initiate and perform banking transactions

· Foreign Currency Transactions following FEMA and other applicable laws

Desired profile

An Understanding and working knowledge for the below listed

·  Accounting and auditing
·  Taxes including Service Tax, Income Tax, Company Law, FEMA regulations, etc.
·  Expert in office including MS Excel and Word
·  Knowledge of Hyperion or similar program

·  Working knowledge for Oracle will be an advantage
