Assistant Chief Engineer

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Chief Engineer to support engineering, maintenance operations and the opening of Hyatt Place AlUla.

Hyatt Place AlUla represents a significant milestone in Hyatt's expansion across the region and will feature 215 guestrooms, two food and beverage outlets, meeting space, swimming pool and a fitness center appealing to both leisure and business travelers.

Your Role
As the Assistant Chief Engineer, you'll support the Chief Engineer in overseeing the maintenance and operation of all hotel facilities, systems, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
· Assist in managing daily engineering and maintenance operations
· Ensure proper maintenance of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
· Supervise engineering team activities and work schedules
· Monitor preventive maintenance programs and repair activities
· Ensure compliance with safety standards and engineering procedures
· Support energy management and cost control initiatives

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Qualifications
· Previous experience in engineering or maintenance operations, preferably in hospitality
· Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
· Good leadership and team supervision skills
· Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently
· Good understanding of safety regulations and maintenance standards
· Strong organizational and communication skills
· Excellent English communication
