This exciting role welcomes guests and colleagues to Gentlemen and Scholar, your quintessential British pub where tradition and elegance meet. Guests can immerse themselves in an atmosphere that harks back to the Lunar Men era, a time of great thinkers and philosophers in Birmingham from 1765 to 1813. Our walls adorned with artwork pay tribute to these intellectual luminaries. Our name, Gentlemen and Scholar, stems from the esteemed 18th-century phrase, 'you are a gentleman and a scholar.' Crafted cocktails and mocktails are on the menu at The Gentleman & Scholar Pub and Terrace inside Hyatt Regency Birmingham. As Assistant Manager – Gentleman *& Scholar, you will be responsible for the smooth service of our Gentleman & Scholar pub and Lobby Bar. You will manage shifts, monitor and oversee admin tasks and care for your team and guests wellbeing.

1. Provide a high standard of service and care to all.

2. Ensure hygiene standards are maintained.

3. Create a development and growth environment for your colleagues, supporting individual learning.

4. Work with F&B & Venues Manager to enhance operating procedures.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

About you:

You will have a keen eye for detail and focus on the ‘small things’, you will be creative and able to work within the required brand experience guide for a Regency Hyatt. With experience of leading a Hotel Bar you will be a team player and can work both operationally and also be organised with the ability to delegate.
