As Apprentice Chef you will be accountable for preparing a consistent, high quality food product in order to provide guests with a memorable dining experience. As part of the program, you will be spending time in each area of our kitchen including our Pastry, Banqueting, Restaurant and Room Service kitchens. Due to the variety of our kitchen departments you will have the opportunity to to experience and learn different culinary skills. Some of the key processes include but are not limited to:
· assisting the kitchen team with the mis en place, preparation and presentation of dishes to high standard levels
· learning and following standard recipes and minimise waste to help ensure that the food cost is in line with budget
· establishing a rapport with guests, providing guest recognition and good customer relationships
